How do you do yours?

I myself, at this precise moment... have to my right...
a glass of white and my crisps I didn't eat at lunchtime, I may well push the boat out and snaffle a lonely creme egg from the cupboard. I will walk it all off tomorrow. Got to get through the political debates somehow.
I have in the other room laid out -

This is a quilt for a friend who is joining the "no longer in your thirties" in a few weeks. I don't think I have ever used so much white in a quilt and I really like it. I am in a quandry with my borders. I have enough white to lay it around the quilt with off-set corners. Not enough to cut it up. I have some blues/greens but not masses. I am thinking of the flowers around the edge, but humming and haa-ing. But I don't have much time really, other things stacking up. So in thought, hence the glass of..

Back in a routine.

Well, we are all back into the usual routine. Almost usual. I have lost some classes at college due to funding, but we are into gardening season now, so although it lightens my purse it has meant I am not looking out the window onto such a great mess!!
Over the holiday we were due to go camping... however we were not confident about getting through glencoe with the heavy snow we had, so that was scrapped. Instead we busied ourselves with days out and it was very relaxing.
So this was the beginning of easter, which was quite scarey as we have had really bad snow this year.
And then this. bright sunny days on the beach 15 mins up the road...

Nice hats!!!
Eldest D got a Yo Sushi cookbook for christmas, so we got in the stuff and the pair of sushi masters took it upon  themselves to make supper one evening. Do you know it was delicious!!

What clever children!! X X

Birthday Girl

Well, the birthday girl had a first birthday. We had sausages and cake, her favourite... well in actual fact she will eat just about anything, including the contents of the litter tray (enough said). So we sang her the song and gave her gifts. Plenty run and fetch toys. Mr H refuses to take them, says its embarrasing to become one of those doggie people who have the stick with the ball on the end. He'll come round eventually.

AND my big girl has perfected the art of cake baking and enjoys the fact that she is left alone to do it herself - so long as she washes up. it was delicious. She also , has twice made the old all-bran and choc nests with mini eggs on top, but they were scoffed particularly quickly, with no time for a pic.
