Cheesey Proud Grins

Well, tonight No.1 D completed her bag, No.2 D completed hers yesterday. We have a Guild `regional day on saturday and the competition is `'bring a bag'` any bag. `which is really good because it is so wide a topic. Here they are, proud as punch....

Been Busy Honest :-\

Oh my sometimes you feel like time just keeps passing and you are still standing in the same spot... you know it when you have had a really good tidy. Hoovered/dusted under/over/behind - the place is spotless then a week in and it all begins again...
Anyway, it hasn't been like that here, no dusting hoovering and whatever else.. too busy. And I have no photo because I forgot. Made my mother a birthday quilt. Last time, for her 60th, I made an Irish chain and hand quilted it. By the time it lay or her bed she was 64!! I'm not proud.
So this time - 70th, it had to be done. It was and was really nice, so I will have to remember to take a snap next time I am up. For the same day I had another job to do -

 

My friend's daughter was getting married so I offered to make her cake. As per quilt - I forgot to take a pic of the final finished thing. The florist made three little white rose posies, one for the top and one for either side a tier or two down. It was very pretty. Working from the top down, it was sponge cake, sponge cake, chocolate cake and finally fruit cake. 

When I look at this, it doesn't feel like very much has happened but it has been a busy last number of weeks. So is this duster out this week? Someone once said - if the doorbell goes and you haven't tidied have some "get well soon" cards ready to put up before you answer the door ;-)
